Flannel
Flannel is a soft, slightly brushed fabric, typically made from cotton or wool. The brushing process creates a fluffy surface that gives the fabric its characteristic softness and warmth. This is why flannel is commonly used for winter styles, as it is comfortable against the skin and provides good insulation.
We want to protect people and nature from harmful practices. The growth of organic cotton does not allow the use of GMO seeds, pesticides and synthetic fertilizers. This protects nature as well as the people growing the cotton as they don't get in touch with toxic substances. Instead, farmers use natural fertilizers and natural pest controls. They also practice crop rotation which means that they also grow soy, wheat or other crops. This increase the nutrients in the soils and gives them an additional source of income.
Our flannel shirts are made in the North of Portugal, near Porto. The fabrics are woven only a few kilometers away from our manufacturing partner. Producing in Europe is important to us in order to keep the transport distances short and to maintain craftsmanship and knowledge of textile production in Europe. Our partners are specialists in what they do. This way we can guarantee you high-quality, long-lasting products.
